Editorial Policy

SmartRevenueFlow is an independent editorial publication. Our coverage exists to help readers make better financial decisions — not to maximize affiliate revenue. This document explains the standards we hold ourselves to.

Authorship

Every article on SmartRevenueFlow is written or edited by a named human journalist. We do not publish anonymous content, ghostwritten content, or content generated end-to-end by AI. AI tools may assist with research, data extraction, and fact-checking — but never with the writing itself.

Sourcing

We prioritize primary sources: carrier rate filings, NAIC complaint data, state insurance department records, CFPB enforcement actions, peer-reviewed research, and direct interviews with industry practitioners. Secondary sources are clearly attributed. We do not republish vendor press releases without independent verification.

Fact-checking

Every numerical claim is verified against a primary source before publication. Articles undergo a second-pass review by the editor for accuracy and tone. When we get something wrong, we correct it visibly with a dated correction note at the top of the affected piece.

Updates

Every guide is reviewed at least quarterly. Time-sensitive coverage (rate-driven pieces) is reviewed monthly. The publication date and last-revised date are shown on every article.

Affiliate relationships

SmartRevenueFlow earns referral fees when readers choose to purchase certain products through links on the site. These relationships do not influence editorial coverage. Our writers and editors do not see referral-revenue dashboards, and we routinely write critical coverage of partner products when warranted. Each article carries a plain-English affiliate disclosure.

Conflicts of interest

The editor and contributing writers do not hold equity in or take payment from companies covered editorially. Any unavoidable conflicts are disclosed inline.
